I am a graduate student in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Washington.

I am originally from Lancaster New Hampshire and I received my bachelor's degree in Genetics from the University of New Hampshire. While at UNH I did research in Dr. Cheryl Whistler's lab, studying the relationship between V. fischeri siderophore production and persistance in the Hawaiian bobtail squid light-organ. I am currently co-mentored by Rasi and Dr. Jesse Bloom and I am working to determine if codon composition impacts host cell protein translation during influenza induced host-shutoff events. I like to spend my free time bouldering and playing strategy games.
