I am a graduate student in the Molecular & Cellular Biology program at the University of Washington.

A Pacific Northwest native, I grew up in Salem, OR and Vancouver, WA. I started at the University of Washington as an undergraduate, graduating with dual bachelor's degrees in biochemistry and music performance on violin. Upon graduation, I worked as a research technician and lab manager for the late Dr. Richard Gardner in the UW Department of Pharmacology. There I studied nuclear protein quality control and cellular stress responses in S. cerevisiae. In my graduate work with the Subramaniam Lab, I am studying regulators of mRNA stability and codon optimality in mammalian cells.

Outside of lab, I enjoy playing violin with the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra, knitting, reading sci-fi, and spending time with my cat, Momo.
